BENEFITS OF THE REFORMER JUMPBOARD

Cardiovascular Fitness

The jumpboard adds a low-impact cardiovascular element to Reformer Pilates, helping to elevate the heart rate while minimising stress on the joints. By engaging the large muscles of the lower body, it improves cardiovascular endurance and provides an effective way to increase exercise intensity.

Strength, Power & Stability

Jumpboard exercises develop lower body and core strength by requiring clients to generate force against the resistance of the reformer springs. Regular jumpboard training helps build power, improve muscular endurance, and enhance overall stability and control through the hips, legs, and trunk.

Proprioception

Jumping on the reformer challenges balance, coordination, and body awareness. Clients must control both take-off and landing while maintaining alignment, helping to improve proprioception, movement efficiency, and overall coordination both in the studio and during everyday activities.

Client Experience

Beyond the physical benefits, jumpboard classes are simply fun. They offer a dynamic change of pace, require less complex choreography than some reformer exercises, and provide an energetic workout that clients often find enjoyable, motivating, and rewarding.
